BYELED SERVICE WAIVER / CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT
This draft should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before paid use.
1. Independent service. ByeLED is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or sponsored by Meta, Ray-Ban, EssilorLuxottica, Oakley, Facebook, Instagram, or any related company. Brand names identify compatible customer-owned products only.
2. Permanent alteration. Customer understands the requested service is a physical modification and should be treated as permanent. The modified indicator/light function may not be restorable.
3. Warranty risk. Customer understands service may void manufacturer warranty, extended warranty, store return rights, insurance coverage, or support eligibility.
4. Device risk. Customer acknowledges electronics repair/modification carries risk of cosmetic damage, component failure, pairing issues, battery issues, camera/audio/control issues, water/dust resistance changes, or total device failure.
5. Customer authority. Customer represents they own the device or have full authority to request service.
6. Lawful use only. Customer is solely responsible for complying with all federal, state, local, workplace, venue, privacy, recording, wiretapping, consent, harassment, stalking, and surveillance laws. ByeLED does not authorize or encourage unlawful, harassing, or non-consensual recording.
7. Refusal of service. ByeLED may refuse or cancel service for any reason, including suspicious circumstances, unlawful-use statements, mismatched ownership information, or unsafe device condition.
8. Shipping risk. Mail-in customers are responsible for adequate packaging, tracking, and insurance unless otherwise stated in writing. Carrier loss/damage is not ByeLED responsibility.
9. Testing scope. ByeLED may perform basic before/after function checks but does not guarantee every manufacturer feature, future firmware update, app behavior, or third-party compatibility.
10. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent allowed by law, ByeLED liability is limited to the amount paid for the service, excluding replacement value of the device, consequential damages, lost data, lost profits, or third-party claims.
11. No legal advice. ByeLED does not provide legal advice about recording laws. Customer should consult an attorney if unsure.
